Miss Tomo Tambe studied at Wellesley College from 1948-49. She graduated from Kobe College and the University of Michigan before coming to Wellesley.

She was selected by the Education Division of Kobe College to take an observation trip to the United States to observe the administration and extracurricular activities of Wellesley. In addition to studying Wellesley, Kobe College also allowed Tambe to observe and visit other schools including Radcliffe, Smith, and Mount Holyoke.
