Wellesley offers more than a thousand courses and 55 majors, including many interdepartmental majors.
Classes at Wellesley typically range in size from 12 to 24 students, depending on the level of instruction. With a student-faculty ratio of 7:1, classes are small enough for students to get personal attention, but large enough to foster debate and exchanges of information.
From seminar to laboratory, lecture to independent study, Wellesley courses develop critical thinking, an appreciation of varied approaches, and the power to communicate learning. Distribution, foreign language, and other requirements are explained in the Degree Requirements section.
You can visit specific department pages to see their course offerings or use the Wellesley Course Browser. The annual course catalog is also available online.
You can also access archived versions of past catalogs from Wellesley's Institutional Repository.
