Emiko "Koko" Ishiguro Nishino ('45)
Koko Nishino was a member of the Wellesley College Class of 1945. Her sister Mariko Ishiguro attended Wellesley around the same time. She left for Wellesley in the fall of 1941, three months before Imperial Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor. Koko Nishino graduated in 1945, months before Japan surrendered to the Allied Forces.

After Wellesley...
- Married Hiroshi Herbert Nishino and had three children
- From 1976 till her retirement in 1992, she continued to serve Wellesley College by holding several positions in Resources, including development fund officer and the director of planned giving.
- Served as an assistant to the college president as a development officer, as an advisor to students of Asian descent, and as a coordinator of services for students with disabilities at Wellesley College.
- Was president of the Wellesley Alumnae Club of Boston and treasurer of the Alumnae Association Board of Directors.
- In 1993, she Received Wellesley's Severinghaus Alumna Award for ministry and in 1995, she was honored with the Syrena Stackpole Award for her dedicated service to the College.
