Muslim Observances
Ramadan Mubarak! Kullu 'am wa antum bikhair! (may each year you be well)
The Holy Month of Ramadan is a month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community. During this holy month of fasting, the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life offers opportunities for observance and accommodations for those who are fasting. We hosts gatherings for Muslims to break fast together and offer communal prayers. For those who are fasting from sunrise to sunset, suhur Pre-Dawn meals are available to be picked up in the dining hall at dinner-time the previous night. On the days of Eid, ORSL and the student group Al-Muslimat (ALM) collaborate to host a communal Eid dinner on campus.
See our Spiritual Communities section for more information.
Chaplain Amira Quraishi contacts students each year with more information.
