Director of Labor and Employee Relations

Leads the labor and employee relations function and provides advice and counsel to employees and management on conflict resolution and planning for a more productive path forward. Conducts interviews and gathers information for employee relations matters such as allegations, work complaints, or other concerns; informs appropriate staff when additional investigation is required. Manages the Union grievance process for the College, hearing Step III grievances and managing arbitrations if necessary.

Ashley focuses on managing student employment and engagement initiatives that cultivate a robust and inclusive work environment. She manages and coordinates the Student Employment program for the College. This includes presenting student employment programs to current students and College staff, as well as creating and maintaining relationships with all necessary partners utilizing this program.

Sandra serves as the first point of contact for the Human Resources Office. She is a source of information and referrals to the College community and visitors. She also assists the Human Resources staff on daily administrative logistics and supervises student workers.

She is responsible for overseeing the benefits and compensation teams and is the employee contact for retirement.
Meshack Ellis

Meshack leads all processes and procedures related to the staff compensation program (including the annual merit program) and is responsible for ensuring program compliance. He analyzes and monitors benchmark data and implements any salary changes in Workday. Meshack partners with the Talent Management team to formulate offers for new hires, promotions and marked adjustments. He manages the annual promotion and equity budget and partners with the Budget Office to maintain position control within Workday. Meshack also supports the benefits program to ensure enrollment accuracy and provide support for new program launches. Meshack coordinates the tuition reimbursement, assistance and remission program.
Amy Taylor

This role administers the College’s benefit programs for faculty, staff and union employees, including retirement and health and welfare benefits. This includes enrollments, terminations and changes in coverage. This role also oversees the 403(b) Plan and Pension plan and supports the annual benefits open enrollment process. In addition, the Benefits Manager supports the Whole You initiatives.

JoAnne is responsible for entering employment changes in Workday for administrative, union, and casual wage employees and for benefit deductions for all benefits-eligible employees including faculty. She performs audits of this information in Workday to ensure accuracy. In addition, she is the point of contact for faculty and staff for additions or corrections in the College’s online directory. JoAnne is the initial contact in the Leave of Absence process and oversees the workers compensation program.
