Choosing Reserve Materials
Only material that is required reading for the entire class should be placed on reserve. Optional readings can easily be obtained through interlibrary loan if Wellesley's copy is not available for your students. Library staff are happy to assist your students in placing these requests.
Videos required for class or for scheduled showings during or outside of class may be made available through Video e-Reserves. If the digitized version will not be available by the date that you request it for, the hard copy will be placed on reserve. Requests submitted without dates will be processed on a first-come first-serve basis.
Journal articles, e-books, book chapters, or unpublished material (such as your own lecture notes, or any other documents that you create on your own) can be uploaded to your course site Resources. For copyrighted materials, please follow the Copyright Guidelines for electronic materials.

Ordering New Material
If the library does not own the material that you need, please place an order using the Purchase Request form, and mark the item as "For Reserves". Placing the order yourself will expedite the process and ensure that the correct item is requested. If the library cannot order the item in time, you may make arrangements to have your personal copy temporarily available for your students.
