Simpson Hall and Simpson Cottage Project

Simpson Cottage was built in 1880, and the historical building will have very little change. Counseling Services will move out of this building and into a new space, while the Wellesley Centers for Women will occupy the Cottage. Simpson Hall was built in 1942, and the large brick building will be demolished and replaced with a new, smaller building to house Health Services and Counseling Services.

How will this impact our campus?

During construction, Health Services and Counseling Services will be relocated to the College Club. All services will remain intact in this temporary location. While the new building is under construction, expect construction truck traffic, as well as some noise, dust, and vibration in the general vicinity.

Project Timeline:

This project is planned to begin in December 2023 with a completion date of August 2024.
