KSC Pool House Project
The KSC Pool House will undergo an interior and exterior renovation project in the winter of 2024. Because of rust and age, the exterior walls, windows, and roof of the pool house will be torn down and rebuilt. The existing structure, pool, and surrounding decking will remain. A new mechanical system and lighting will be installed in the space. Below is a summary of the scope:
- Removal of existing walls and roof (both metal), replacement with new brick walls and new metal roof.
- Replacement of all interior lighting
- Replacement of HVAC (heat/cool)
- Upgrade of interior finishes
- Pool and filtration systems stay as-is
- Replacement of windows at the 2 bridges that join the Pool to the Rec building
How will this impact our campus?
The pool will be closed during construction. Please visit the PERA website for information on alternate locations used for swimming during it's closure. During construction, the area surrounding the pool will experience construction traffic and noise. The playing fields and adjacent sports center facilities will be available for use.
Project Timeline:
This project is planned to begin in January 2024 with a completion date of August 2024.
