Wellness at Wellesley

Wellness at Wellesley

In addition to the resources and opportunities within the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life, Wellesley College provides other services and programs that support the many aspects of wellness during your student experience on campus. We encourage students to connect with campus resources that support other aspects of their identities and needs.

Office of Student Wellness

In the Office of Student Wellness, we know that wellness is not one-size-fits-all; we are here to support wellness your way!

We know that we are all complex individuals with dynamic needs, so too is our well-being. Therefore, we embrace 8 holistic dimensions of wellness, which includes: emotional, physical, occupational, intellectual, financial, social, environmental, and spiritual wellness.

Throughout our mission, programming, policies, and resources you will find this framework informing the work that we do. We see well-being as shaped by many intersectional identities and factors that change throughout one's life. Because of this dynamic nature, our office is committed not to simply educating around a narrow concept of wellness, but around self-reflection so that our students are empowered to make the best decisions for themselves at any given time in their life while at Wellesley, and beyond!

Office of Intercultural Education

The mission of the Office of Intercultural Education is to promote the cultural competence development of students through intercultural activities and programs. It also provides support and advocacy for students of color and students who identify as LGBTQ+ through Acorns and Harambee Houses and the LGBTQ Programs and Services.

LGBTQ+ Programs and Services

Wellesley is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for its lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, and intersex students.

The ready support by students, faculty, and staff of Wellesley’s large, active LGBTQ+ population is one of the most remarkable aspects of our multicultural community. Wellesley offers many informal mentoring and advising resources for its LGBTQ+ students and their allies.

The Stone Center, Wellesley’s counseling service, offers an LGBTQ+ support group discussion group as well as counselors trained in handling LGBTQ+ issues. The Cultural Advising Network includes an LGBTQ+ adviser, Q-Connectors and Wellesley’s LGBTQ+ student organizations.

Class Deans

The Class Deans work closely together to provide strong individualized advising to students.
We collaborate with faculty advisors and staff members from many other offices across the College to help make sure all of our students have the support they need to realize their goals. Students are welcome to visit our offices on the second floor of the Schneider Center during drop-in times for quick questions with your Class Dean, or appointments can be scheduled online using the links to the right. Students can also email their Class Dean directly to set up a meeting.
