I’m Jasmine, and I’m a class of 2026 prospective neuroscience major. I am passionate about the overlap between public health, neuroscience, and data science. I’m excited to further investigate these intersections in the Tetel Lab, where I am focusing on analyzing data collected in the Wellesley-Mayo study. 

Prior to joining the Tetel lab, I researched South Asian women's health, iuworked as a NASA SEES intern using satellite data to understand vector-borne disease patterns, and did a UROP in the Language Acquisition Lab at MIT analyzing data to explore how children acquire linguistic devices. I loved contributing to these projects and especially enjoyed work that combined my interest in public health with statistical techniques, so I am excited to combine these interests with my love for neuroscience and endocrinology to investigate how lifestyle, mood, and environmental factors interact with the human microbiome. 

Outside the lab, I am completing a fellowship with Fenway Health surrounding how housing access affects people living with HIV. I enjoy reading, walking around campus, and working out in my free time.
