Hi! I’m Eliza and I’m a Pre-med English major and Chemistry minor in the Class of 2023. I am passionate about women’s health and am excited to further explore this field with the Tetel lab this upcoming year. 

 

Prior to joining the Tetel lab, I conducted research at the University of Utah studying epilepsy at the level of the dentate gyrus synapse. Having loved contributing to this research, I am excited to combine my interest in women’s health with neuro research as the Tetel lab examines how estrogens and diet influence the gut microbiome. 

 

Outside of the lab, I’m an avid reader and am currently working on an English thesis focused on the Canterbury Tales. When on campus, you’ll probably see me playing viola with chamber music society, planning events with the Sexual Health Educators, or running around Lake Waban.
