How/when will I receive a tax receipt for my gift?

I want to direct my gift toward a specific purpose. Is this possible?

Yes. The online giving form allows you to direct your gift toward one (or more) of several College priorities. If you have a different priority or prefer not to make your gift online, please reach out to a staff member by calling 781.283.3589.

I plan to make an honorary/memorial gift. Will the College inform the recipient/family?

The College will be pleased to inform the person/family about a memorial or honorary gift. Along with your gift, which can be made online, please provide the necessary contact information, including name(s), mailing/email address, and how you would like to be acknowledged.

Why does Wellesley raise funds every year? Doesn’t the endowment cover the gap between tuition fees and the College's costs?

Endowment income contributes significantly to our annual budget, but it does not cover the entire gap between tuition and costs. Wellesley is committed to meeting 100 percent of students’ calculated financial need while delivering an exceptional educational experience. Annual donations to The Wellesley Fund help to cover such important ongoing expenses as financial aid, sustaining our beautiful campus, and more.

I can only give a very small gift. Is there a minimum amount that is still of value to the College?

We receive every gift with gratitude. We recognize that all our donors are at different life stages with a wide range of financial resources. We appreciate the support of all donors, and every dollar has an impact.

I am interested in making a planned gift. Whom should I contact?

Please contact the Office of Gift Planning at 781.283.2235 or giftplanning@wellesley.edu.
