Young M’Young Kim Class of 78, Political Science major. Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University (1979-1980) American University MFA in Painting (1985-1987). Mother of four children and grandmother of two. 

2. What are you doing now?  

Chair of Yeol, Korean Heritage Preservation Society (2013-present)

Founding member of Yeol, a non-profit foundation established in 2002 to preserve Korean heritage. Yeol supports Korean traditional artisans and young craftsmen through an annual project, a collaborative work between an artisan and a designer to modernize traditional craft to reflect contemporary lifestyle. Educational and volunteer programs are provided for Yeol supporters. For more information, please visit www.yeol.org

3. How has your Wellesley experience and your major influenced your life/career after college? 

Wellesley has given me a lifelong passion for learning and improvement of myself as well as a deep awareness and concern for our roles as woman, wife, and mother in our society. The biggest legacy from my Wellesley education is the ability to think, process, and express.

"The photo is of myself standing next to my “sokchima”(Korean traditional under garment) work during my 60th birthday celebration of my first solo photo exhibit in 2016. My next exhibition will be in my 70th birthday in 2026."
