Jennifer Musto
Associate Professor of Women's and Gender Studies and Incoming Director of Knapp Social Science CenterJennifer Musto, PhD is an Associate Professor of Women’s and Gender Studies and the incoming Director of the Knapp Social Science Center at Wellesley College. An interdisciplinary scholar, she teaches a wide array of undergraduate courses broadly focused on gender, race, sexuality, technology, law, surveillance, and punishment. Her research is informed by intersectional, anti-carceral and humanistic social science approaches and she utilizes qualitative methods in examining human trafficking, sex work, and carceral responses to violence, exploitation, and punishment in the United States. She has lectured and published widely on these topics and her research has advanced empirical research and policy responses to address human trafficking.
