macOS Sequoia (15.0)
ATTENTION: We strongly advise that you not upgrade to Sequoia at this time. There is a compatibility issue with ESET Endpoint Antivirus that can break internet access. We will update here when it is safe to upgrade.
Apple has announced that it will be releasing macOS 15 Sequoia on September 16, 2024.
Visit Apple's website to learn more about this macOS.
LTS has begun testing Sequoia with our software and hardware, and does not support it at this time. We strongly recommend that you wait to upgrade until Apple releases their first revision version. Bugs tend to get discovered withing the first release version and fixed for the first revision version.
Software incompatibility:
- ESET Endpoint Antivirus: Updating to macOS Sequoia with anything but the very latest version of ESET will break access to the internet. If you have already updated and are experiencing this issue, please reach out to the LTS Help Desk for assistance.
Of Note:
If you use highly specialized academic software or have installed unique personal software, please verify with the vendor that it will be compatible with Sequoia before upgrading, or contact LTS for assistance with this.
Before any upgrade, as always, we strongly recommend that you perform a backup of all your data.
