Google+ makes connecting on the web more like connecting in the real world, providing new ways for students and faculty to find, share and connect online -- both inside and outside the classroom. Click here to get started.
Profile: Make a great first impression
Show the world a little about who you are and what makes you tick. Your Google+ profile helps you control how you appear within Google+ and all across Google.
When joining Google+, you will be asked a few required questions. Several actions are optional. You do not need to upload a profile image, add friends, follow interesting pages or people, etc. Click the Continue button to skip and complete enrollment. You may update your profile with this information at a later time.
Circles: Manage who you share posts with
Easily manage whose updates you see and choose who you’d like to share with. You can broadcast to the world, or keep your conversations private. With Circles, your photography friends don’t have to get an update about your morning workout, and your triathlon team doesn’t see all your thoughts on the latest camera gear.
Communities: Get together with just the right people
Talk about the stuff you're into with people who love it too. Join public communities around shared interests, or create private communities to get together with just the right people.
Note: Orientation students will need to allow their first year mentors to invite them to communities.
Events: Celebrate what matters, with the people who matter most
Plan your next get-together with Events, then relive the memories with everyone’s photos in one place with Party Mode. Snap photos during the event and share them with everyone at the party in real time, right from your phone.
Photos: Share more beautiful moments
Keep your photos safely backed up online, where they’re accessible from any device. Photos are automatically enhanced to look better than ever, and it’s easy to find highlights from your collection to share.
Hangouts: Bring your conversations to life
Hangouts brings conversations to life with photos, emoji, and even group video calls for free. Connect with friends across computers, Android and Apple devices. It's ideal when you need to hold virtual office hours, or collaborate on a project - but you're not able to physically meet in the same room.
Hangouts are also a great way to connect with your high school friends and family, or to spend time watching YouTube videos with friends in other dorms when you don’t feel like putting on your shoes.
Mobile: Take Google+ with you on the go
The Google+ app lets you stay connected and keep up with the conversation on the go. Automatically back up your pictures, video chat directly from your phone, talk about the stuff you're into with Communities, create events, and much more, all from the palm of your hand.
