Science Librarian
As the Science Librarian, I have the pleasure of helping develop and maintain the science collection and provide research and instruction support to Wellesley students and faculty, in the form of research consultations, in-class sessions, and workshops. I can assist community members in all aspects of the research process and finding sources to meet their needs.
I am the liaison for departments in the Sciences: Astronomy, Astrophysics. Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Computer Science, Environmental Studies, Geosciences, Mathematics, Neuroscience, Physical Education & Athletics, and Physics.
About Me
I have my BA in life sciences from Mount Holyoke College, and I worked for many years as a cell and molecular biologist, in both academic and biotech labs. I got my Masters in Library and Information Science from Simmons University, and worked as a corporate librarian for pharmaceutical companies for over a decade. After a brief stint as a public librarian while our child was young, I returned to my first love of science, and became an academic science librarian. My wife and I have a teenager, and serve two loving, vocal, and opinionated Siamese cats.
