Having done graduate work at Cambridge, Kate began her fellowships career at Yale in 2007 working with applicants for scholarships for postgraduate study in Britain and Ireland. Her portfolio soon expanded to include awards supporting all kinds of opportunities — from undergraduate research to public service careers. She's been known to tell students that if she could persuade people to support her study of the early medieval history of reading, then anything is possible. In 2016, Kate, an alumna of Bryn Mawr and of Newnham, was delighted to be offered the opportunity to come to Wellesley to work with women from around the globe, whose interests and aspirations are as diverse as they are.
