Beinecke Scholarship Program (juniors)

Campus deadline: 12:00 pm (noon) on February 26, 2025

The Beinecke Scholarship program seeks to encourage and enable highly motivated students of limited financial means to be courageous in the selection of a graduate course of study in the arts, humanities and social sciences. The Beinecke provides $35,000 towards application expenses and tuition fees for graduate study in PhD or MFA programs. (Details via the official website.)

Wellesley applicants for the Beinecke Scholarship must first apply for Wellesley’s nomination: Wellesley is allowed to nominate just one candidate for the Beinecke Scholarship each year. Before proceeding with your application, you are warmly encouraged to discuss your plans and aspirations with Wellesley’s Fellowships team. Smart and capable as you are, you don't have to go it alone: we'd love to talk things over, offer feedback on drafts, and more!

Did you know? Serenity Hughes, Wellesley College class of 2018, won the Beinecke in 2017! Will you be Wellesley's next Beinecke Scholar?
