Employee Wellness Classes

Healthy You is excited to offer free in-person group fitness classes to Wellesley College employees. Group exercise classes are a great way to stay connected, relieve stress, tone muscles, and provide a renewed sense of well-being. Classes are geared to accommodate all levels of fitness.

Please Note: These offerings are for Wellesley College employees only. Students are encouraged to particpate in PERA's in-person group fitness classes.

Registration

Participants must pre-register using the link below, ideally a day or two prior to class. Participants must have a wellesley.edu email address.

  2. Complete the Google form and select the class(es) you wish to take. Scroll down to click "Submit."

Class Descriptions / Instructors

Yoga

Instructor: Susie Masters (smasters@wellesley.edu)

An energizing and rejuvenating class welcomes all levels of “yogis.” Focus on pranayama breathing with movement while creating strength and flexibility through a vinyasa flow. You will leave feeling relaxed and refreshed.


Barre Fit

Instructor: Monica Verity (mverity@wellesley.edu)

Barre is a full body workout that incorporates body weight strength, pilates and ballet exercises. The workout is 45 minutes long and set to fun and high-energy music. The exercises are designed to exhaust your muscle groups then stretch targeted areas for toned results. Barre Fit holds emphasis on muscle engagement and enhancing the mind and body connection. Exercises will have a strong focus on opposition with the use of resistence bands to deepen strength training. Participation in class will enhance flexibility, balance, core strength and full body muscle endurance. All levels are welcome.


Full Body HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training)

Looking to change up your workouts? Want someone to lead you through some cardio and strength training? Never tried a HIIT workout before? JOIN US at Full Body HIIT Training! Coach Caitlin will lead you through some cardio and strength circuits each class, working your entire body! All cardio options will be available (treadmills, bikes, ellipticals on a first come, first serve basis). All strength circuits will have regression and progression options available for your training level. ALL fitness and training levels are welcome! Come start your day off with a sweat!
