Wellesley’s Lake Waban and Galen Stone Tower at Dawn

One of Wellesley College’s most iconic campus features, Galen Stone Tower, peeks through the trees in the early morning light. At 182 feet tall, the Tower can be seen from across campus and Lake Waban.

In a few short weeks, the carillon bells of Galen Stone Tower will herald the arrival of both returning students and new. Idyllic mornings on campus would be incomplete without that familiar sound, a constant reminder of Wellesley’s serenity that can be heard even when it cannot be seen. #WellesleyPlaces
