Create a web-based scholarly resource
The Digital Scholarship Initiatives (DSI) program staff is available to assist in all areas of planning, developing, and hosting web-based scholarly resources. We encourage the use of existing platforms such as Omeka, which has powerful content management features, a broad user and development community, and a very user-friendly interface.
The DSI program is currently using Omeka to develop an online archive of materials related to 19th century sculptor Anne Whitney.
When designing a web-based scholarly resource, the DSI program can assist Wellesley College faculty with:
- project planning
- platform evaluation
- collection development services
- digitization recommendations and services
- metadata services
- preservation services
- cloud-based web hosting services
Please contact Jenifer Bartle to discuss your project ideas.
