March Ping-Pong Madness

We will use the official U.S. Table Tennis Rules. Some key things you may not know about the official rules are:

• Games are to 11, not 21

• Service is alternated every two serves, not every five

• Service need not be cross-court (that’s only in doubles)

1. You will receieve an email communication about your current pairing and the deadline to report the results of your match

2. You and your competitor will set up a time to play a best-of-five game​

3. The winner must email kfuller@wellesley.edu and cc the loser to report the results of the match

4. If the winner fails to report results, we will flip a coin to determine who moves forward on the aforementioned deadline

5. We will schedule the semifinal and final matches on March 15th

• Bracket size will depend on the number of registrants
• Participants will be randomly seeded into the bracket
• Each tier of the bracket will have a “complete by” date attached
• You must play your match and report results to kfuller@wellesley.edu by midnight on that date
• If you have not completed your match by midnight on that day, we will flip a coin to determine the winner

• There are ping-pong tables available at Open Rec, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4-6PM in the Multipurpose Gym
• There will be ping-pong tables available on Sunday, March 6th and Sunday, March 13th in the Multipurpose Gym from 6:30-9:30PM
• There is a ping-pong table in the Sev DOF 

If you have made an honest effort to schedule a match but have received no response or non-compliance from your opponent, please email kfuller@wellesley.edu at least 24 hours before your Tier Deadline.

The semifinal and final matches will be held in the KSC Fieldhouse from 8-9PM on Tuesday, March 15th.

Spectators are welcome, so come cheer on the competitors and watch another champion crowned!
