Shannon Mokoro joined the Class Dean's team as the Dean of First Year Students in July 2022. Dean Shannon is an eclectic equity and justice-centered academic who is looking forward to engaging first-year students and guiding them through their journey at Wellesley.
A southern California native, Dean Shannon holds a B.A. degree in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Barbara, a Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree from Clark Atlanta University, and a Ph.D. in Educational Policy Studies with a concentration in higher education. from Georgia State University. In her time away from Wellesley Dean Shannon likes to crochet, try new recipes, garden, watch sports, and spend time with family and friends.

Tara Hollis serves as the Director of Orientation and Transition Programs. She oversees New Student Orientation and Wellesley College's Orientation Leaders. Additionally, she helps transfer, leave of absence, and exchange students transition in and out of Wellesley College. Tara has a B.A. in Public Relations and an M.A. in Student Life and Development. She has spent over a decade working in higher education and is passionate about developing young adults. While she is from the Pacific Northwest (go Seahawks) she is considering making the New England Patriots her second favorite football team.
