Contest of National Interest as Candidates Vie to Replace Retiring U.S. Representative Barney Frank
On Monday, October 15, join Wellesley College and the League of Women Voters for a debate between Sean Bielat (Republican) and Joseph Kennedy III (Democrat), the candidates running for Congress in the Massachusetts 4th Congressional District.
The debate, which is open to the public, will be held in Wellesley’s Diana Chapman Walsh Alumnae Hall and begins promptly at 7:30 PM. Doors will open at 6:45 PM for voter registration. Public seating is first come, first served; no tickets are required.
This is Kennedy and Bielat’s third debate in a contest that has consistently been one of the most closely watched congressional races this election year.
The League of Women Voters’ Jo-Ann Berry, co-chair of the Citizen Education Committee of the Massachusetts League will moderate the debate. H. Kim Bottomly, President of Wellesley College, and Karen Price, director of the Massachusetts League and Needham League President, will give opening remarks.
