Beth DeSombre Discusses Global Economic Politics on WNPR

Beth DeSombre, Frost Professor of Environmental Studies and director of the College’s Environmental Studies Program, joined a panel of experts talking about global economic deals on Where We Live, a daily news talk show on WNPR, Connecticut Public Broadcasting.

DeSombre, who has co-authored two books on the global politics of fishery conservation, Fish and the forthcoming Saving Global Fisheries with J. Samuel Barkin, discussed global politics relating to fisheries and how corporations, through commitments to sustainable practices and purchasing, can enact policies that help protect the global supply of fish.

DeSombre is involved with developing and teaching in the tri-campus Sustainability Certificate program with Olin and Babson Colleges. She was a recipient of The Anna and Samuel Pinanski Prize for Teaching Excellence at Wellesley in 2005.
