Cultivating Community in the Botanic Gardens
Eight Wellesley students discovered more about the College landscape this summer by working as Botanic Gardens interns. In addition to learning about plant diversity and identification, pruning, and reading the landscape, they learned how to work together and foster community. “My favorite thing, I think, has really been working with the team and working together toward a common goal of making the gardens a really beautiful and educational space that people can really connect to,” said intern Emily Wall ’24, an environmental studies major.
The Global Flora Conservatory in the Margaret C. Ferguson Greenhouses will reopen to the general public in November. Details will be forthcoming.
