Life in Lake Waban: Students Study Bluegill Sunfish Locomotion
Annika Pfister ’23, Paige Gee ’24 and Zoe Reynolds ’22 worked with Bradley Wood, postdoctoral research associate in biology, during the 2021 Science Center Summer Science Research Program to research the behavior and kinematics of bluegill sunfish in Lake Waban. Their goal was to better understand why the fish swim the way they do in the wild.
This year’s summer research program offered a number of projects—both in-person and remote—for students to choose from. The finished projects were presented virtually in a poster session at the end of the program.
