Wellesley diver Maura Sticco-Ivins ’18 is competing this week at the NCAA Division III Championships in Indianapolis. She represented the College on March 22 in one-meter diving and will compete in three-meter diving on March 24. Sticco-Ivins is the 2017 defending national champion for both events.
In addition to being a three-time national champion, Sticco-Ivins is a two-time National Diver of the Year, six-time All-American, seven-time NEWMAC champion, three-time NEWMAC diver of the year, and 20-time NEWMAC diver of the week. Sticco-Ivins is the first individual Wellesley student-athlete since runner Randelle Boots '13 to compete at the NCAA Championships all four years of her career.
In honor of Women’s History Month, Wellesley’s #FutureisFemaleFriday celebrates one woman each week who is inspiring change, achieving goals, and moving us all forward.
