The clock is ticking. Wellesley closes the books on its fiscal year on June 30. Alumnae have until the end of that Monday to help meet a participation challenge to help Wellesley receive $500,000!

There are many reasons why a high alumnae participation rate is important, but this month there are 500,000 additional reasons why a gift to the College would be especially significant.

On June 1, Wellesley launched a month-long participation challenge titled 50% = $500,000. The challenge terms are simple: If Wellesley reaches its 50 percent alumnae participation goal by the end of the day on June 30, 2014, the College will receive an extraordinary gift of $500,000. There are only a few days left to exponentially increase the impact of your gift by participating in this challenge.

As of June 27, Wellesley is at 44.6 percent participation. To meet the challenge, 1,613 more donors (alumnae who have not yet made a gift since July 1, 2013) are needed before June 30. This is truly a participation challenge: All gifts, regardless of size, are equally important. Every gift counts!

This is a tremendous opportunity; one that will help keep Wellesley—the school, the students, and the alumnae network—strong for this and future generations.

Of course, Wellesley gratefully accepts donations from all sources, but for this particular challenge and to meet that gold standard of 50 percent participation in a year, it’s alumnae we need to really “make a difference.”

So if you are a Wellesley alum, please make a gift of any size before June 30 to participate. If you've already done so, thank you! Your support now will have an amazing impact.
