Herrmann Lecture Series: Lauren Michelle, soprano *NEW DATE*
The Suzy Newhouse Center for the Humanities, the Music Department, and the American Studies Department are pleased to welcome award-winning opera singer Lauren Michelle for the Fall 2022 Herrmann Lecture Series Presentation. Originally from Los Angeles, Lauren Michelle, a soprano, is a graduate of UCLA and The Julliard School. She has appeared on stages across the globe as Musetta in La Bohème, Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro. In September 2022, she will appear as Mimi in the Boston Lyric Opera’s production of La Bohème.
In this lecture/demonstration, Lauren will take questions from faculty, staff, and students, and perform selections from La Bohème. Professors Petra Rivera-Rideau (American Studies) and Gurminder Bhogal (Music) will act as discussants.
