Marta Rainer directs Wellesley Repertory Theatre in a production of Finegan Kruckemeyer’s play This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing, the story of triplet sisters who are left in the forest by their woodcutter father. From this fairytale beginning, three resolutions are made—one sister will walk one way, one the other, and the third will stay right where she is. Twenty years later, having circumnavigated the globe, and fought Vikings, and crossed oceans, and tamed wilds, and achieved greatness, the three meet again.

Wellesley Repertory Theatre is our award-winning, year-round professional theatre company, in residence since 1998 on the Wellesley College campus. Founded as a summer theatre by Nora Hussey—a formidable storyteller and community-builder recognized for her lifetime of achievement on both a local and national level—Wellesley Rep productions have been lauded by critics and cherished by audiences for two decades and onwards! Wellesley Rep is a multiple Moss Hart Award-winner for theatrical excellence
