Alien Citizen: An Earth Odyssey is a one-woman show about growing up as a dual citizen of mixed heritage in Central America, North Africa, the Middle East, and New England. The play and the workshop will invite Wellesley students to explore issues of identity and heritage through this work by Elizabeth Liang, a dynamic young artist who has toured the world with her show. As one of the main events of Asian Awareness Month, the event will draw the campus community together for a fun, humorous play that is also raw and poignant, inviting students to shift their perspectives and re-examine their own sense of belonging, or lack thereof.
