Paul Sabin, associate professor of history and American studies at Yale University, spoke about his book The Bet: Paul Ehrlich, Julian Simon, and Our Gamble Over Earth's Future, awarded a Best Science Book of 2013 by the New Scientist. He explained the origins and implications of the conflict between environmentalists and conservatives as the enviornmental consequences of human activity become more and more apparent.
