Texas State Schools
Costs for 2019 TMDSAS (Texas Public Schools) Application
The Texas Public Schools have their own application, the TMDSAS. There are 11 public medical schools in Texas and 3 dental schools. These schools do give preference to Texas residents (only 5-10% of matriculants are out of state), and are significantly less expensive than other schools. If you are from Texas, it's definitely worth considering applying.
- The cost to apply via TMDSAS is $150, no matter how many schools you submit to.
- Some schools have a secondary; fees vary, up to $70. See the TMDSAS website for more information.
