Maria Molteni Announced as 2022 Prilla Smith Brackett Award Winner
The Davis Museum at Wellesley College is delighted to announce that Maria Molteni is the recipient of the 2022 Prilla Smith Brackett Award. Molteni will receive $15,000 to support their art practice and will be featured in a virtual exhibition on the Davis’s website. The Davis will host a reception and artist talk honoring Molteni on October 18th from 6:30-8:30pm.
Maria Molteni (they/she, b. 1983, Nashville) is a queer transdisciplinary artist, educator and mystic, whose practice has grown from formal studies in painting, printmaking, and dance to incorporate research, ritual, and play-based collaboration. The biennial Prilla Smith Brackett Award honors an outstanding female-identified visual artist based in the Greater Boston area."
