As the chairman of BlackRock China, Hsueh-ming Wang is responsible for establishing the firm’s business across all products on shore.
Ms. Wang was most recently an advisory director of Goldman Sachs, as well as a director of The Paulson Institute. She has had a career in finance spanning more than 25 years in Greater China.
She began her career in leveraged financing of aircraft for major airlines in the United States and Asia. She was also a pioneer in China's external financings from capital equipment to sovereign debt issues since 1985. She joined Goldman Sachs in early 1994 and was named partner in 2000, working on a variety of landmark privatizations and advisory transactions that coincided with China's economic reform and restructuring from the early 1990s to 2006. She was then named chairman of Goldman Sachs Asset Management in China with responsibilities that included initial exploration and later establishment of both asset management and private wealth management platforms in China.
