Wellesley’s Albright Institute brings a unique approach to the challenges we face in the world today.

Wellesley launched the Madeleine Korbel Albright Institute for Global Affairs in January 2010. Its aim? Prepare women to act on a world stage.

The Albright Institute is a living laboratory that explores the value and practical application of the liberal arts disciplines to global-scale challenges. And by offering academic theory in a “real-life” context, the Albright Institute generates richly nuanced perspectives on global issues.

The Institute focuses on three pedagogical methods: academic theory and research, leading practitioner perspectives from “the field,” and learning through action—the opportunity to apply newly gained knowledge in the world during international internships.

Building upon the proven success of this unique educational model, the academic program of Wellesley's partnership with Peking University is driven by:
