Akila Weerapana
Professor Weerapana's published work is in the areas of international economics, the economics of conflict, and the political economy; his dissertation research focused on monetary policy.
He has taught classes in macroeconomics and international economics at all levels of the curriculum. He especially enjoys teaching introductory macroeconomics, and has worked over the last few years on a co-authored textbook on macroeconomic principles. He is also a frequent thesis advisor to Wellesley College seniors.
