She has focused her studies in the intersection of ethics and technology. Last year, Ye'Amlak worked as a research assistant in the Sloan School of Business at MIT focusing on the ethical implications and industry impacts of laws governing the tech industry. On campus, Ye'Amlak is a part of WASA (Wellesley African Student Association) and was the president of Tau Zeta Epsilon, Wellesley's music and arts society. She is fluent in Amharic as well as French.
