Trisha Lopez
Trisha is a senior and a first-generation student majoring in Biological Sciences on the pre-medical track.

In the summer of 2024, Trisha worked as a Public Health Fellow at the Norwalk Health Department funded through the CT Public Health Fellowship Program. There, she helped lead events in English and Spanish to improve community health, promoting nutrition, exercise, and providing free health screenings to disadvantaged community members in Norwalk. Trisha has also done hematological research benefitting pediatric patients with sickle cell anemia in the Dominican Republic at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center as well as clinical research benefitting patients with vascular anomalies from international backgrounds at Boston Children’s Hospital. Trisha studied abroad in the Spring of her junior year in Denmark, taking courses in human health and disease, medical ethics, and medical simulation skills. On campus, she is a McNair scholar, on the executive board for Wellesley for Boston Children’s Health and the Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students, and sings with the Wellesley College Choir. Trisha’s goal upon graduation is to do public health work benefitting disadvantaged pediatric patients abroad, preferably in Latin America, and later hopes to attend medical school and become a pediatrician.
