She is an archaeology enthusiast who participated in the University of Victoria’s excavation of ancient Eleon, Greece in 2014. In 2015, she worked as an intern at the Tangier American Legation Institute for Moroccan Studies where she archived glass negatives for Archnet, an online database for Islamic visual culture developed by MIT. She followed her summer in Tangier with a fall semester in Rabat, Morocco studying multiculturalism and human rights. On campus, she stays active in the Wellesley community as an RA and the editor-in-chief of The Wellesley Globalist. She incorporates her passion for oral history and storytelling into her studies by focusing on language in her respective majors. Tessa’s future plans include returning to work with an NGO in Morocco and pursuing law school.
