Teesta was previously chosen as a George W. Bush Presidential Institute Intern in Education Reform and Research & Evaluation, where she was honored to have conversations with President George W. Bush and Mrs. Laura Bush and to assist with the “Struggle for Freedom” Conference with projected speakers such as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine, and President Tsai Ing-Wen of Taiwan. Teesta is the Founder and President of “We Think Feminist,” an organization promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment. Her guest speaker series “Fireside Chats with Leaders and Innovators,” and her work with Genesis Women’s Shelter and the International Conference on Crimes Against Women echo these values. On campus, she serves as a Minstrare Peer Leader for the Office of Civic Engagement, and for the Hillary Rodham Clinton Center for Citizenship, Leadership, and Democracy Fellowship launch. She also serves as a Peace and Justice Studies Department Assistant and Senior Managing Editor for the Wellesley News Opinions section. Upon graduation, Teesta hopes to pursue a career in International Human Rights Law, dedicated to supporting a diverse community and fulfilling her passion for women's advancement.
