In the summer of 2020, she interned with Apni Shala, a non-profit in her hometown of Mumbai focused on providing culturally-relevant and accessible mental healthcare to local low-income communities and municipal schools. On campus, Tarini works as a writing tutor and is the financial manager of Café Hoop. She also lives in Wellesley’s Feminist co-operative, Instead, and is co-president of the Queer and Trans South-Asian Collective. Tarini is deeply passionate about the intersection of education and mental health, and hopes to devote her life to creating radically empathetic, inclusive and accessible spaces for marginalised young people.
