Tanvi Kodali ’20

Passionate about storytelling and motivated by the power of the word to change the world, Tanvi hopes to affect change through narratives. In the spring of her freshman year, Tanvi wrote a piece on Medium on the shooting of a South Asian man in Kansas called, "I can't Change the Color of my Skin." When people (many whom she didn't even know) began reaching out to her through social media, thanking her for writing the piece, she knew she had a voice and a responsibility. Tanvi has spent her summers interning as a Literary Awards Intern at PEN America and as Content/Marketing Intern at Simple Health. PEN America stands at the intersection of literature and human rights and works to protect and support writers and their voices. Simple Health is a telemedical start up whose mission is to make healthcare affordable and accessible. On campus, Tanvi serves as the Outreach Chair of Wellesley Association for South Asian Cultures, and the Co-President of Wellesley Asian Alliance.
