Tanisha Rayamajhi ’19

This past summer, Tanisha interned at the Nepal Economic Forum where she delved into the analysis and policy repercussions of several new national economic reforms. She also joined the Diyalo Foundation, a Boston-based NGO that takes a community-driven approach to development in earthquake affected regions of Nepal. This experience led her to spend part of her summer in the remote, rural hills of her country. Her research experiences during the academic year have been more healthcare oriented, having worked in Marc Tetel’s Neuroscience Lab and a global healthcare delivery program called Sana on projects based in Lebanon and Uganda at the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology.

She is a proud alum of the UWC movement, and deeply cherishes intercultural settings and exchange. She speaks Nepali, English, German, Hindi and is improving upon her French while studying at The Graduate Institute in Geneva during her Junior Fall. She is a Public Speaking Tutor for classes taught in German as well as English on campus. Tanisha hopes to spend her life working at both global and local platforms towards strengthening the health and economic wellbeing of communities in developing nations.
