Saachi Dalal ’19 Albright Fellow 2018
On campus, Saachi has been involved with Student Government as a Residential Hall Senator, an active member of WASAC since her freshman year, and has devoted her sophomore year to being the Co-Events Coordinator for Wellesley’s Pan Asian Council. Given her premedical interests she recently joined Wellesley for Boston Children’s Hospital as Career Education Liaison, and begun conducting research involving Mucosal Barrier Tissue Engineering at MIT. Over the past two years she has also conducted research related to Cancer Genomics, Neuronal dysfunction in mouse models with Huntington's Disease, and Development of Hemostatic Dressing using self - assembling peptides. During the summer of 2017 she was a Strategy and Operations intern at Deloitte, and spent a month as a data analysis intern and volunteer at UMEED, a child development center in Mumbai, India. In 2013 she founded a Non-Profit Organization in India called PRANADANA (Gift of Life) which aimed to spread awareness to the Youth of India about the need for organ donation and the importance of being a registered donor. She is also an active volunteer with Institutions for Special Education, and Rural Medical Camps for Neurological disorders in India. She hopes to pursue Pediatric Neurology and eventually contribute to disability healthcare and education policy in India.
