Mikhaela  Andersonn
Mikhaela is a senior majoring in Psychology and Spanish with significant coursework in writing.

She is writing her thesis on the connection between social media, identity, and civic behavior based on interviews from forty-four women of color. In the summer of 2022, she worked in the Youth, Media, and Wellbeing Lab in the Wellesley Centers for Women where she examined digital wellbeing and the STEM pipeline for adolescent girls of color. On campus, Mikhaela is a WellesleyPlus Near-Peer Mentor for the Office of Student Success and an Intensive Writing Teaching Assistant. She has a working knowledge of Spanish. Her goal upon graduation is to attend graduate school for a degree in Security Studies. Afterwards, she hopes to examine and work on policies that are affecting the digital landscape globally such as de-anonymization, stricter content guidelines, and curbing radicalization online.
