In the summer of 2017, Mia worked as an intern on the mayoral campaign of Amy Sangiolo in Newton, MA. She also served as the volunteer coordinator and assistant campaign manager for Sangiolo’s campaign. Additionally, in the spring of 2017 Mia was an intern with The Borgen Project, a non-profit committed to eradicating global poverty. On campus at Wellesley, Mia is a rower on the varsity crew team and serves as President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. After graduation, Mia intends to work in public policy in order to empower women politically, socially, and economically.
