Lianne Quaynor ’24
During the fall of 2022, Lianne studied abroad at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland and reviewed issues such as women’s economic upward immobility, climate change and sanction overcompliance on human rights. She has interned at the international women's and girls’ human rights organization, MADRE/VIVA Girls where she conducted qualitative and quantitative research on digital risk and COVID impacts in partner organizations' countries as well as designed their participatory grantmaking model. As a team leader for Students for Justice, Lianne also helped empower underrepresented voters in voter suppression states by providing the information needed to overcome barriers to voting. She has a working proficiency in Spanish and a limited proficiency in French. Before leaving for Geneva, Lianne was Class of 2024 President during her first and second year, while also serving in different capacities in college Senate and Ethos. Lianne aspires to pursue a graduate program or law school upon graduation and ultimately work for the United Nations or an international organization effecting positive change as a global citizen.
